Sean Michael’s first play date! How exciting! I love keeping up with firsts! Shaneil so kindly and bravely invited me and trouble into her home. Sure, we’d hung out with my friends and their kids’ before on several occasions, but this was different. These little fella’s were pretty well matched, with Little Henderson being a mere 2 day’s older than Sean, and size wise they were pretty much tit for tat. This promised to be a great match, and both boys’ could practice their social skills, since both attend small home daycares. Admittedly, we were both nervous, these are for real deal rough and tumble boys we’re dealing with! All, and all it went well, except Sean’s climbing ability was put on display, when he crawled into Henderson’s high chair, and the time when Henderson in defense of his property told Sean to STOP and actually put his hand out! LOL! and the time when Sean climbed underneath the glass table, enticing Henderson to join, which is something Henderson never does, the struggle over a toy spatula, a football, a riding toy, and for some odd reason they both wanted to get in the play yard, and the time they chose to ride the basketball goal like a horse, but oh nothing caused more confusion than this chair here!
The boy’s were in competition just to sit down! Craziness! Henderson went in for the kill , with Sean’s attention captured by the TV his focus was off making him slow to seal the deal; Henderson swooped in with a quick hip and booty jut to the right! Game over! The chair was eventually moved from play, and Henderson’s Mom informed me that Henderson hadn’t thought about that chair since, and nor has Sean desired to sit anywhere since…go figure. But, all and all, I think it’s a great beginning to an awesome, if not rough friendship! And a cool Mom to add to my great list of friends!
Oh and this is another serious relationship that’s blossoming. This cute little girl is Miss Launden, she’s an older woman….. a full 3 months older than Sean. We’ll see where this goes!
